2025 Autumn NUPACE Japanese Language Program

Orientation and Placement Test
We will hold an orientation and the placement test at the following times;
Date: 18th of September (Thursday)
Place: SIS Lab (3rd floor of Liberal Arts and Science Main Building）
Time: 12:30~14:30 Group A
15:00～17:00 Group B

New students who wish to take Japanese classes, please attend the orientation and the placement test.
During the orientation, you will be asked to fill out a form indicating the Japanese classes you would like to take
this semester (including Kanji, Introductory Lectures and Japanese for Job Hunting).
Therefore, please do not apply for other Japanese classes at Nagoya University.
If you do not fill out this form, you may not be able to attend class.

Continuing students should attend the orientation only if you are taking the placement test.
Continuing students who do not take the placement test but wish to take Japanese classes should fill our
the online form (NUPACE 2025 Autumn Japanese Language Programme Application for Continuing students) sent by email.
If you do not fill out this form, you may not be able to attend class.

The placement test will only be held on September 18th (Thursday)and will not be held on other days.

Class Placement Announcement

The classes will start on October 2nd (Thursday).
＊Please go to the assigned classroom.
＊There is a level check test on the first day of the class, so please take the test and consult with your teacher
about changing your level if necessary.
＊Those who are in the UJ500-UJ700 class should first go to the same level of grammar, reading, speaking, listening, and writing classes. Take the level check test and consult with your teacher before moving to another level class.

Please make sure you purchase the textbook immediately when you decide to register for the class.

オリエンテーションとプレースメントテストは以下の通りに行います。

新規生で日本語のクラスを受ける人はオリエンテーションとプレースメントテストに必ず来てください。
オリエンテーションの中で、今学期受けたい日本語の授業（漢字、入門講義、就職日本語も含む）の希望を
フォームに書いてもらいます。ですので、名古屋大学の他の日本語のクラスの申し込みはしないでください。
このフォームに記入がないと、初日の授業に行くことができなくなるかもしれません。

継続生は、プレースメントテストを受ける人だけオリエンテーションに来てください。
プレースメントを受けない継続生で日本語の授業を受講したい人は
メールで送られた日本語授業受講希望オンラインフォームに記入してください。
このフォームに記入がないと、初日の授業に行くことができなくなるかもしれません。

プレースメントテストは、オンラインでします。プレースメントテストは９月18日（木）だけです。他の日はありません。

クラス分け発表【ここを見てください。9月24日(水)17時に発表されます。】

日本語の授業は10月2日(木)から始まります。
＊発表されたクラスの教室に行ってください。
＊初日の授業ではレベルチェックテストがあるので、それを受けて、必要であればレベル変更など 担当の先生と相談してください。
＊UJ500-UJ700クラスの人は、最初に同じレベルの文法、読解、会話、聴解、作文のクラスに行ってください。
レベルチェックテストを受け、先生と相談してから、クラスを移動してください。
